Looking For Something To Do!
During your stay here in Dallas-Fort Worth, we invite you to take a stroll through old town Grapevine to visit the shops along Main Street. The shopkeepers would love to see you. In addition to downtown, you can find great shopping at Grapevine Mills and for the outdoorsman there is the Bass Pro Shop. Don't want to shop, just a few minutes away is Six Flags Over Texas, Hurricane Harbor, take a tour of the Ballpark (home of the Texas Rangers), the Stockyards in Fort Worth, The West End in Dallas, and many other great opportunities. Want to try some great restuarants? Within a five mile radius of the Hotel you will find everything from great Tex-Mex to awesome barbeque. Your Conference Committee wishes you a great stay here in the Metroplex.
Wish You Were Here!
What a great kick off to our 51st conference! Wednesday saw over 200 First Timers attend a session welcoming them to Dallas. It was awesome seeing so many purple "First Timer" ribbons everywhere you turned at the Gaylord. In addition to the great number of new attendees, the conference is also welcoming many new vendors to our annual expo. There are over 225 booths for people to visit, with well over 185 different vendors. So if you could not attend this conference, please make plans to attend next years at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. We look forward to seeing you there.

I am very excited to invite you to attend the 51st annual conference of the National Association of Church Business Administration at the Gaylord Texan Resort in Grapevine, Texas (Dallas/Fort Worth). This beautiful resort is located just a few miles north of DFW Airport. The dates for this year’s conference are July 11-15, 2007. You can learn more and/or register at www.nacba.net/2007.
The theme for this year’s conference is “Improving Your Serve.” The quest for each of us should be to become Biblical servant leaders. When we look at the model set before us by Jesus Christ, we are reminded that He came not to be served but to be a servant to others. John 13 demonstrates His humility toward His disciples. We, too, must model a similar leadership style as we strive to lead out in our areas of ministry.
As we come together in July, I pray that each of us will be well on our way to “improving our serve.” We will create a blog to give you an opportunity to post examples where you have been able to “use your towel” by serving others. In most cases, these examples will seem small and insignificant. I can assure you these will not be unimportant in the eyes of the recipient or with God.
We will use this blog leading up to and during the conference to communicate with you and allow you to respond. We hope to see you there.
In closing, I want to offer this prayer to God on your behalf:
“Heavenly Father, I want to offer this prayer on behalf of each individual receiving this towel. I pray that as they have received this towel as a reminder of the type of life they are called to live, please use this as an opportunity to help them build a model of the kind of life you want them to live. I commit these responses to you in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.”
Yours in Christ,

Terry D. Bertrand
